Tina               Hey, what's that music?

Laura             I'm in a samba band. We've got band practice now.

Tina               Really? How often do you practise?

Laura             We practise every Friday, and in July we participate in the
                       Brighton Carnival.

Tina               A carnival? Cool! What do you do in it?

Laura            Well, we sing, dance and wear costumes. It's fun.

Tina               I love dancing. What about you, Jake?
                      Do you like carnivals?

Jake               I don't mind watching them, but I hate dancing.

DIALOGUE UNIT 3

Tina                 Jake, do you know any German?
 

Jake                 Yes, I do. Why?
 

Tina                 I don't understand this. How do you say "read" in German?
 

Jake                 I think it's "lesen".
 

Tina                 Sorry, can you say that again?
 

Jake                 Yes, it's "lesen".
 

Tina                 How do you spell that?
 

Jake                 L-E-S-E-N.
 

Tina                 OK, thanks.

Fans will do anything for Robert Pattinson, the actor in the Twilight trilogy.
One girl asked Pattinson what she could do to get his attention. As a joke, he said "Take your clothes of".
But it wasn't funny when the girl really started to undress. Be careful what you say to fans in future, Robert!

Miley Cyrus has finally decided to get rid of her Hannah Montana disguise to take part in this romantic drama based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks. The film tells the story of Steve Miller (Greg Kinnear), a separated father who decides to spend the summer with his conflictive daughter Ronnie (Miley Cyrus)  who he hasn't seen for a long time. He wants to get back in touch with her with the help of the only thing they have in common: music. But, while they are both trying to make up for lost time, Ronnie meets Will (Liam Hemsworth), her first real love, and her life begins to change completely.
